Domain Options Marketplace Terms
In most cases, it takes several months (many times several years) for Domains to be sold in the domain market. This “Domain Options Marketplace” is a unique project to enable domain owners to sell their domains (if approved) much quicker, with the added benefit of an option to repurchase the domain at a fixed price within 1 year. The terms as follows:
1. The Seller decides the ‘reasonable’ price for the domain that they are willing to participate on the Domain Options Marketplace (“DOE”)
2. Seller to submit their details on the e-form provided
3. The DOE panel will review the submitted domain on whether its suitable for the DOE
4. Example: If the Seller submits a domain price at say $300, and DOE is prepared to accept the application for $250, then the Domain Sale Price (“DSP”) is set at $250 (if acceptable by the Seller) and the Domain Option Period (“DOP”) is 1 year from the sale date.
5. Should the Seller accept the listing of their domain on the DOE, then we will send a TXT code for domain verification to the Seller to insert to their Domain DNS.
6. Example: Should the Seller accept the DSP then they will receive the right to repurchase the Domain (within the DOP) for a fixed price = [$250 (DSP) + 2.5% per month (Domain Options Premium – “DOM”) + $11 (this Registrar fee only payable if the Domain needs to be renewed during the Options period)]. By way of example, if the Seller wishes to repurchase the Domain within 3 months of the sale date, the repurchase price via DOE will be [$250 + ($6.25 x 3) + $11 (this $11 only payable if domain needs to be renewed during the DOP)].
7. The DOE (“Buyer”) will pay the Seller $250 in USDT plus will provide the Seller with a ‘TLD Options Voucher’ (“TOV”). The reason USDT is used for payments is because other payment gateways (such as Paypal and credit/debit cards) levy a 5-8% payment fee which is too high for the DOE.
8. The Seller has the unique ability to sell the TOV to any third party, thereby granting such third party the right to repurchase the Domain at any time during the DOP.
9. Should the Seller (or any third party owner of the TOV) wish to repurchase the Domain before the expiry of the DOP, then the Seller must pay the Option Price preferably in USDT (Paypal or other payment gateways can be used for settlement, but in such cases the gateway payment fees is payable by the Seller)
10. Escrow agents are used to provide for the secure trades and the escrow hold on the Domains for the duration of the DOP.
11. If the Seller (or any third party owner of the TOV) does not exercise the Domain Option within the DOP, then the Option merely falls away and the Domain becomes the asset of the original Buyer.
